Learn piano lessons from an experienced teacher in both AMEB and Yamaha education systems. Robyn started playing the piano at the age of 4 and began playing the violin at the age of 6.
She is easy-going, fun, patient and friendly; She believes it is important to have a positive supportive relationship between the teacher and student to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.
Being a former Yamaha music teacher, Robyn has a holistic approach to learning music. Her teaching approach focuses on a variety of skills including technical, performance, theory, aural, and creativity development. This holistic approach aims to bring about the best musician in all.
Annual concert for all students aims to develop performance skills in all students. This is a chance for all students to share their achievements with one another. Robyn's students actively participate in AMEB exams throughout the year and consistently achieve high grades.
Piano lessons are available for anyone aged 4+ with all levels of experience.
Robyn is also a practicing Speech language pathologist. This means she has great communication skills, and understands that each person has a different learning and communication style. She is able to build rapport with students quickly to ensure the student continues to be motivated in their musical journey.
Robyn also has experience teaching students piano who have additional needs (such as autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability). A specific approach is used which caters to visual and/or auditory learners. Using the child’s strengths are the key to exploring the child’s full potential.
Robyn is also currently studying a Masters in Creative Music Therapy to be able to use music as therapy for children and adults with special needs.
Lessons are only provided at her piano studio located in Crows Nest and Marrickville
