Rohan Nelson is an up and coming bassist located in the City of Perth, WA. He graduated from the ‘Bachelor of Jazz Performance’ at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2011. Throughout his fledgling career Rohan has played in a diverse range of musical ensembles including Rock Cover Bands, Corporate Jazz Bands, Original Rock, Folk Rock, Latin and Motown groups. Rohan has performed at many different venues including the ‘Fly By Nights Musicians Club’, the ‘Perth Concert Hall’ and his majesty’s theater. He has played at festivals such as the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Bunbury International Jazz Festival and the Margaret River Wine Festival.
Rohan has studied under great musicians such as Pete Jeavons, Paul Pooley, Dane Alderson, Peter Oates, Freddie Grigson, Glyn McDonald and many more.
