Piano Lessons

Lessons are based in at my home in Camp Hill just off Old Cleveland Road. Students will get to play on a lovely Brodmann Grand Piano with air con for extra comfort of course! As an added bonus, my Nord Stage 4 Keyboard can be used to explore the more modern side of piano playing!

Currently in my first year of University, I study at the Queensland Conservatorium for Piano Performance. Having played piano since a young age, I have been able to garner plentiful experience in the industry through classical piano competitions - preparing for performances and winning prizes - to contemporary rock bands and ensembles - where I use keyboard and production skills - to even playing in multiple full-production musicals such as Legally Blonde.

Drawing on this knowledge, I love teaching and passing knowledge to keen students and helping them find their passion for the piano and all that it can do. Whether the lessons are for fun and just to explore the instrument, or more focused with goals in mind, I am happy to accomodate all.

Depending on the student, I can teach and involve a diverse range of genre from classical to jazz improvisation to even modern day pop music if they are interested. No matter what genre or style, technique remains crucial and will always be apart of the teachings as good technique applies to all facets of piano.

Lessons can be focused on learning for fun, or with a goal towards school performances and AMEB exams. Furthermore as an aside, I would encourage students if they are interested to develop their own compositional work as another pathway to open up where they can apply their skills to creating music.
