Cello Lessons

I am moving to NSW from Brisbane and am looking forward to living and working in Sydney!

I have extensive experience teaching a wide range of skill levels from beginner to advanced. I am passionate about instilling a strong technical foundation in my students. Technique is the building block of confidence and awareness in any cellist and my goal is for students to always play with a great sound and have the ability to tackle any musical challenge on their own.

One key element that I enjoy about music - especially in professional work - is playing with other people. Hence my teaching style focuses on playing together, listening and working on musical problems together whilst of course having fun.

I am a co-Artistic Director of Ensemble Cherubim, a chamber ensemble formed in Brisbane and a core player (Artistic Associate) with Camerata - Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. I regularly play with Queensland Symphony Orchestra and joined the Opera Australia Ring Cycle Orchestra in 2023.

I will am taking expressions of interest with an aim to start lessons before term 4.
