As a teacher with over a decade of experience, I aim to inspire a love of learning in students through my own passion for education. My background includes working with a diverse range of learners, from young children to adults, including those with special needs. I emphasize personalized education and collaboration with parents to support student success.
Starting as a private music tutor in 2011 and transitioning to a full-time primary school teacher in 2016, I have been actively involved in creative and performing arts, notably leading school choirs and earning the Director's Award for Significant Achievement in Early Career Teaching in 2019. Additionally, I have served as an Itinerant Support Teacher for students with vision impairment and more recently as a numeracy support specialist at Sydney Secondary College Balmain Campus.
As a lifelong learner and emerging artist, I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Music Theatre) at the Australian Institute of Music. My background in performing arts includes piano training with Amanda Yeomans and Dr. Sandra Garrido and completing the Emerging Artists Program at The HubStudio in 2021.
I have performed as a singer and choir accompanist for various events, including council functions and citizenship ceremonies, and I am a member of the Sydney-based a cappella group The Spare Keys. My artistic experience extends to acting and sound operation with Slanted Theatre and serving as Assistant Music Director for Whimsical Productions' 2023 production of "Next to Normal." Recent show credits include “The World Goes ‘Round”, “Play School: All Grown Up”, "Spring Awakening," "Midsummer Madness," and "The Theory of Relativity."
