Ruben Giuseppe Levi Pennestrì

My name is Ruben G. Levi Pennestrì and I am a professional musician specializing in classical guitar. I lived on the Central Coast.
I was born in Reggio Calabria and I began my musical studies at the age of 5 under the guidance of Maestro Salvatore Zema (Alirio Diaz’s pupil). After teaching for a few years in Reggio Calabria I moved to Florence, attracted by the history of the Renaissance time and the beauty of Tuscany. I had the opportunity to perform at musical and cultural events and festivals, as a soloist, in chamber ensembles (guitar and voice, guitar duo, guitar quartet) and orchestra. I studied with the famous Maestros Oscar Ghiglia, Stefano Grondona and Eliot Fisk who were Andres Segovia’s pupils. I attended in the years 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020 as a full-time student, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana's music improvement courses in Siena held by Maestro Oscar Ghiglia, obtaining the Diploma of Merit.
I have had more than 13 years of teaching experience as the head teacher of guitar in a public school in a few cities of Italy, including Florence.
In addition, I have won different prizes participating in various international competitions around the world.
