Curious about music? So am I! Music is a fascinating universal language which boosts interaction, discipline and confidence and I’m excited to share it with you, whatever your current ability level or age.
My lessons are designed to be fun and effective, addressing technical proficiency as well as different styles and theoretical knowledge. I am flexible with my teaching style, and am always interested in finding new ways to help a student progress. I also promise to work hard towards a positive, supportive and encouraging environment so that each student may thrive.
I am a violinist and violist with more than 10 years of musical experience. Having done intensive programs with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra and Opera Australia, I have a developed a sincere love of ensemble playing. As well as performing solo in the Melbourne Recital Centre’s Bach Competition and the VCAA Season of Excellence, I have played for musicals like ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Into the Woods’, ‘NED – a new Australian Musical’ and ‘Evita’. In 2018 I began studying a Professional Performance Program at the Australian National Academy of Music under the renowned pedagogue, Caroline Henbest.
While any age is welcome, it is advised that students up to 14 years of age be accompanied by an adult or guardian who can observe and take down key notes to ensure the student gets the most out of each lesson.
