Guitar Lessons

I am a professional singer/guitarist with more than 40 years of performance experience (still performing weekly).
I attended Woodville High School and majored in Music1 Practical & Theory, Music2 History & Literature.
I entered Adelaide College of Arts and Education (Kintore Avenue City) in 1985 and began a Bachelor of Music Degree majoring in Classical Guitar.
I can impart technical knowledge, in both application and understanding, of various genres of music - Folk, Alt Country, Blues, Soul, Slide guitar (open tunings), Reggae, Roots & Blues, Classical, Jazz & Pop.
Basic music notation, chord charts, guitar tablature & video are the main written & visual methods of passing on information, but emphasis is placed on feel for the instrument, rigorous work on the fretboard, aural perception (hearing music - mainly melody).
I have taught at Ridgehaven Primary School & Kildare College and have accompanied the Kildare girls at the Catholic Interschool Music Festival at Festival Theatre and Parks Community Theatre.
I can also teach voice as I have been lead-vocalist/guitarist throughout my career as a soloist, duet, trio & in larger groups.
