Samantha D'Amore

Greetings!

My name is Samantha D'Amore and I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (Education
Studies) from Edith Cowan University in February 2023. Down the track I'm intending to do a Masters in Teaching.

Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I am so excited to share my passion, skills, knowledge and experience with you all. My aim is to guide all students to success, to provide
a safe and positive learning environment in the lesson, being encouraging and supportive as well as being role model. I have taught at both Harrisdale Senior High School and John
Curtin College of the Arts as part of practical component of my studies. This included all aspects of teaching in the classroom as well as instrumental (brass teaching) and after school ensembles. I have come across a diversity of students in my experience of teaching and understand how
to meet their needs.

I have played piano for 14 years. I can teach up to AMEB grade 6 piano. My students have achieved AMEB as well as improvement in their skills and confidence.

I can also teach music theory up to grade 5 AMEB.

I have been playing the Tuba for well over 12 years and have been involved in many orchestras over the years. This includes the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), The West Australian Youth Orchestra (WAYO) and currently I am involved within
my local community with the Armadale Concert Band.
