BIO:
My name is Scott and have been performing and teaching Music in Melbourne and overseas for the past 16 years.

My Qualifications include; a Bachelor of Music Performance (graduated in 2010) and an Advanced Diploma of Education (graduated in 2011)

Since my studies I have been teaching classroom Music in a variety of Secondary Schools as well as running my private instrumental tuition business from my home studio. I teach Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard and Drums.

I have performed in a variety of bands in the style of: Jazz, Funk, Disco, Reggae, Metal, Rock, Pop & Soul, but I am currently performing mostly in wedding bands and duos.

No matter what style of music you want to improve in, I will be able to lead you to where you want to be. I have an extensive understanding of all guitar techniques and styles and understand the fundamental skills required to be proficient in them.

The main thing I want my students to have is FUN!!!

My teaching philosophy is focused on the development of students whereby they are valued and taught as individuals based on their own learning capabilities. I incorporate a range of different teaching styles to accommodate all different ability levels. Whether you want to be an all-round great musician, jam along to your favourite songs or learn music theory, so that you fully understand how music is created, I can cater lessons specifically for you.

After each lesson, I email students a breakdown of the topics covered throughout the lesson along with all the resources required for students to effectively practice independently at home. This allows students to easily maintain and re visit concepts taught in each lesson. Furthermore, I also provide video examples of myself playing what was taught each lesson as visual and aural references to assist with their practice.

My lessons consist of a range of concepts dependent on your needs. Below are just a selection of concepts taught in my classes:
