Sean Renaud is a professional bassist and music educator from Denver, Colorado in the United States. He has performed in the section of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra and as the principal bassist of the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra.
Locally, Sean is a casual in the double bass section of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, has toured Australia extensively with Co-Opera and has appeared as a soloist with the Unley Symphony Orchestra.

Sean has also performed professionally in jazz and contemporary styles both in the USA and Australia. He has performed in numerous musicals, including 'Chicago', 'Rent', 'In the Heights' and 'West Side Story'. As a freelancer, Sean has performed in the corporate cover band McKenzie and in the contemporary duo Blue Spruce.

As an educator, Sean Renaud has taught private lessons since 2009. His students have gone on to audition successfully for prestigious festivals, schools and youth orchestras, including the Adelaide Youth Orchestra. In Adelaide Sean teaches strings with the Instrumental Music branch of the Department of Education where he delivers group tuition on the violin, viola, cello and double bass and is the Assistant Conductor for the Secondary Schools String Symphony. He also teaches in numerous private schools and maintains a private studio of double bass, bass guitar and cello students of all ages.

Sean Renaud received a Master's Degree in Musical Instrument Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music in 2015, and Bachelor's Degrees in Music Performance and Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2013.
