Trumpet Lessons

For nearly a decade, Selena has been dedicated to guiding and inspiring young trumpeters. With a background in psychology and a love of music, she has effectively combined these disciplines to cultivate numerous outstanding trumpeters. Her teaching approach begins with foundational elements, such as establishing correct embouchure and posture, alongside clear instruction in music theory. She ensures proficiency in band music and, for students seeking formal assessment, prepares them for the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMBE) exams, from Grade 1 through to Grade 6. Of the 58 students who have completed AMEB exams under her instruction, the majority have attained Honours results, demonstrating both high achievement in these examinations and the quality of her teaching. Selena tailors her lessons to accommodate individual learning styles, creating a dynamic and enjoyable learning environment, with a passion for teaching. At present, she teaches students from a range of schools at her Roseville studio and onsite, including Beaumont Road PS, Castle Cove PS, Killara High School, Manly Selective High School, Neutral Bay PS, Roseville PS, Barker and Shore.
