Church/Christian Music - Play piano by ear and Improvise

Styles Improvisation / Play by ear (Church/Christian/Worship Music)
Pricing $55

Learn to play Christian worship music by ear on the piano / keyboard, even if you have no prior experience!

I will focus on empowering you to master chords as the building blocks for playing by ear for worship, and honing in on improvisation when you are ready. I will also share tips on how to play well in a band setting including working with other musicians. This is an experience that is very different from traditional classical piano lessons.

These lessons would suit anyone who has a passion in learning music for Christian worship music (teenagers, young adults or mature adults etc). I’m primarily looking for people who have a heart for learning and worship, and who is willing to put in the hard work to practise outside of lessons.

Perhaps you have always wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument but think it is too difficult or too late. It is never too late to learn how to play the piano / keyboard! You will be able to play at least a simple church song within a few lessons. If you have some experience in playing keyboard, I will focus on helping you to play even better.

Having played piano/keyboard in the Christian church band setting for over 20 years, I have a passion for equipping others to worship by playing keyboard and singing. Lessons will be adapted according to your experience and interest. I will be selecting songs that you like and suitable to your ability.

Base price is $55 per hour plus petrol costs if I travel to you. Minimum 1 hour each session. I am located in Florey ACT and am happy to travel to you in all areas of Canberra & Queanbeyan.

I’m most happy for you to do a free trial of 30 minutes to see if this is something you will enjoy. Or you are welcome to visit me at church to observe how I play with the band. Happy to chat.
