Experienced cellist and teacher.
Currently only taking beginner students due to other work commitments.
Hello! My name is Sina and I'm a cellist, and a teacher of this beautiful instrument. I've had the privilege of working with many students over the past 11yrs when I first started teaching the cello in high school. The instrument is my pride and joy and my way of release outside of my work as a junior doctor. After many years teaching and seeing all sorts of bad habits taught by previous teachers, I've come to realise the importance of starting good habits, especially early. By lifting such students from these habits and starting new students off on the best possible habits, I believe I set myself apart from most other teachers. My lessons are also thoroughly structured and fun, as the repertoire I choose from and provide ranges from technically difficult, to fun, well-known pieces of music (and sometimes a bit of both!).
In terms of my own musical education, I have sat AMEB exams until grade 8, and from then, due to my university commitments as a medical student, I have been unable to sit further exams, but have studied through AMusA. My students give me a drive outside of my studies, and working with them is not only therapeutic, but an unbelievably fun experience for me, and them.
I'm happy to be visited at home, or travel around Toowoomba and Warwick region (contact for details). Go onto the "Services" tab for more info, and feel free to contact me if you would like to organise lessons!
