Metal Guitar Lessons Sydney

Do you want to learn how to play metal guitar? Have you hit a plateau and need that extra edge to take your playing further?

My name is Rick, and I teach metal guitar lessons in Sydney through my studio, Solis Arcana Music. I'm a self-taught guitarist of over 18 years, playing in dropped B tuning, and I've written hundreds of original pieces across the genre. I combine technical precision with real emotional expression, so you're not just learning to play fast, you're learning to play with intent.

For beginners, I'll correct your technique early and build a solid foundation, so you're not fighting bad habits later on.

For advanced students, I'll teach you solo phrasing, modes, and how to express dark or intense emotional color through your playing. I'll also cover advanced techniques such as:

Alternate picking and economy picking
Sweep picking and tapping
Palm muting and rhythmic precision
Drop tunings and heavy riff construction
Scales and modes for dark, aggressive tone
Tremolo picking and shredding technique

If you want to develop real speed, precision, and heaviness in your playing, contact me to book your first epic lesson.
