ABOUT LESSONS:

Songloom is an Australian online music learning studio for singers, instrumentalists and songwriters, both emerging and established.

Lessons are a warm, inspiring space for you to develop confidence, learn to become your own teacher, set goals and meet new challenges, express yourself creatively and simply enjoy the shared experience of music making.

Our signature Singer Songwriter Lessons for Adults and Teens programs are uniquely tailored to students who aspire to more than just playing a single instrument or singing. These comprehensive programs integrate singing, playing an instrument, songwriting, music theory, and recording skills into a single weekly lesson with one teacher, and include membership to our online community of emerging songwriters for inspiration and support.

We also offer single-focus instrumental, voice, music theory and songwriting lessons.

We are first and foremost an online studio, and design our Zoom lessons from the ground up to make the most of the format and all the great technology it offers. We are really passionate about making lessons a fully immersive, fun and inspiring experience so that students don’t even give a second thought to the differences between online and traditional face-to-face lessons.

We currently offer weekly private lessons and casual masterclasses taught on Zoom, with self-paced online courses launching in 2023.

ABOUT ERICA:

I am a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia where I majored in contemporary voice, and have also undertaken extensive private study in guitar and double bass. I commenced teaching music privately in 2014 and have been performing professionally since 2013 as a vocalist, double bassist and guitarist with a variety of professional ensembles. I have released three critically acclaimed albums of original music, and was nominated as Best Folk Artist in the 2021 Music Victoria Awards.

I am passionate about helping my students discover and refine their own unique sound, and enjoy seeing them develop each lesson, particularly as they find their own voice and become confident, happy performers.
