Music theory, composition, songwriting and improvisation lessons for singers and instrumentalists of all levels. Lessons focus on music theory for singer-songwriters, advanced jazz harmony and improvisation, arranging music for solo and band performance, overcoming creative blocks, plus instrumental and vocal technique, stagecraft, recording and producing music at home and more.

All lessons are taught online via Zoom.

We are first and foremost an online studio, and design our Zoom lessons from the ground up to make the most of the format and all the great technology it offers. We are really passionate about making lessons a fully immersive, fun and inspiring experience so that students don’t even give a second thought to the differences between online and traditional face-to-face lessons.

ABOUT ERICA:

I am a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia where I majored in contemporary voice, and have also undertaken extensive private study in guitar and double bass. I commenced teaching music privately in 2014 and have been performing professionally since 2013 as a vocalist, double bassist and guitarist with a variety of professional ensembles. I have released three critically acclaimed albums of original music, and was nominated as Best Folk Artist in the 2021 Music Victoria Awards.

I am passionate about helping my students discover and refine their own unique sound, and enjoy seeing them develop each lesson, particularly as they find their own voice and become confident, happy performers.
