Cello Lessons

Hello!

I am a passionate cello teacher with 15 years teaching experience. My students have been awarded scholarships to some of Melbourne's most elite private schools, as well as obtaining Diplomas (AMus, LMus) and winning awards in competitions.

Being a part of my studio includes (free!) student concerts for my students to perform at. I put a lot of my students' success down to these concerts! After all, you can be fantastic in a practice room, but performing under pressure is a skill that needs to be practiced.

My education:

• Bachelor & Master's of Music in Cello Performance obtained from The Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester, UK).
• Further studied as an 'exceptional student' at the Musik und Kunst Privät Universität in der Stadt Wien (Vienna).
• Ruyton Girls' School

My awards include:

• Licentiate of Music (with Distinction)
• 1st place at the 2020 Mahler Competition section award (Czech Republic)
• 1st place at the 2013 RNCM Salon Prize (UK)
• 1st place in the Dandenong Concerto Competition
• 1st place at the AVCC Instrumental Section
• Audience choice + 3rd place @ the Australian Vocal and Instrumental Concerto Competition Audience choice award

I have performed extensively as a soloist and also with prominent orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic (UK) and Opera North (UK).
