Drum Lessons - beginners and intermediate

One-to-one lessons in a relaxed friendly environment, at my family home in Mount Martha.

I don't teach advanced students, only together you going for the first year or two. When your skills reach a certain point, I help you find the best teacher to move on to. However I love teaching beginners, and those who have only been playing a little while.

Also available is Zoom, Skype or FaceTime. Some students alternate a bit, depending on how crazy their week is!

I have been teaching guitar, ukulele and drums in the Mornington area, Allans Music in the Melbourne CBD, Montsalvat in Eltham, and lots of other locations continuously since 1970. Yep, that's a long time. I love what I do and make lessons instructive and fun.

In my professional life I've played in many bands (on guitar and uke) - Rock, Blues, covers, Jazz, Folk, Celtic and more classical settings. My duo Cantango plays Gypsy Jazz and European street music.

Beginners, kids and intermediate students are welcome. I like to follow a student's natural areas of interest, as with that naturally comes momentum.

My 1976 album "Steve Warner" has been re-released by Buttercup records in Australia, and internationally by Fire Records in the UK on the Earth label. Second album "Sketches of Paradise" is having a rest. Third album has begun recording.
