B.Music Theatre, Grade 7 Guild keyboard
My formal qualification is a Bachelor of Music Theatre with my professional work involving working as a vocalist, musical director, vocal coach and accompanist. I undertake professional development regularly through various workshops.
I am a seasoned performer and have had varied roles in the performing arts.
My teaching experience includes contemporary singing, keyboard, piano and recorder in both private and group settings. Styles covered are contemporary, music theatre and jazz.
My students have successfully undergone exams through AMEB and the Australian Guild of Music Studies, as well as performances in local and interstate Eisteddfods.
I have recently relocated to the Gold Coast. Until Term 1, 2017 I was teaching contemporary voice and piano at Shelford Girls’ Grammar and Kilvington Grammar School, both in Melbourne.
I teach the AMEB Piano for Leisure syllabus, AMEB Singing for Leisure and AMEB Music Theatre syllabus and have been teaching for over 15 years.
Students and their parents often comment on my teaching work ethic, of working professionally while putting students at ease in the lesson. I get along with students and communicate well. I am also well organised and self-motivated, punctual, reliable and present well.
