Suva Leitch

Mrs Suva (Sue) Leitch, is an experienced teacher of piano, violin and theory, in Townsville, and is a professional registered member of the Music Teachers Association of Queensland. She teaches adults and children. Currently, Suva is a violinist in the Barrier Reef Orchestra, violist in a chamber ensemble and violinist in the Wattle and Gum Bush Band. She plays Irish violin and Australian folk music, as well as Balkan and Klezmer music. She has been employed as a backing violinist in bands such as The Syrup of Figs and Littmus, and has also played as a pit musician for the Choral Society of Townsville numerous times. Suva is also a member of Classic Strings, playing baroque and classical music for weddings and other events. As well,she is an experienced piano accompanist for instrumentalists and singers sitting for exams and competing in eisteddfods etc. Suva also plays accordion with an Irish group.
