My name is Tanis. I am a qualified teacher and specialist classroom music teacher, professionally singing and songwriting for over 20 years. I play and teach acoustic guitar and flute and have performed across Sydney, the Gold Coast and "beyond" as a solo artist, in duos and bands alongside some wonderful & talented musicians.

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Contemporary Music and Multimedia Design at SCU and Graduate Diploma of Education, qualified Classroom Music Teacher and Choir director. My small schools choir were placed first in the 2019 Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod and my Senior Choir took home first place at the 2015 Gold Coast Eisteddfod!

I have taken many singers through to compete in the Coffs Harbour Vocal Eisteddfod - if this experience is something your child is interested in please get in touch!

I have 10 years experience working as a private music tutor to children and beginners aged 3-adult and additional experience with kid's working as a teacher's aide and child carer - I also taught Music to children in Zaragoza, Spain.


Highly commended 2nd place Coffs Harbour Choir Eisteddfod 2023 and First place awarded to my choir from Bonville PS at the 2019 Coffs Harbour Choir Eisteddfod.

June 2004 - I was invited to play at the 2004 NXNE 10th Anniversary Music Festival & Conference in Toronto CANADA 2004. I was 1 of 3 Australians who performed at the festival and was one of the 400 acts chosen out of over 1900 bands.

2003 - My soulful and blues/rockin' tune 'Shine' was awarded an honorable mention in the 2003 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Only a small percentage of the thousands of entries recieved are recognized with this award.. The judges felt that this song was among the best entered into the Contest.

2003 - My celtic song 'Witch' gained airplay with FBI Radio, Sydney

February 1999 - My successful girl duo DOLLSHAY (alongside Mandi Jarry www.mandijarry.com) auditioned and were chosen to appear on the series "Starstruck" on Channel 9.

  • 'Lothlorien' was written and sung in the Elven language created by J.R.R Tolkien for The Lord of the Rings.
