Tarquin Montal

I’m Taco, a professional drummer with extensive experience performing at major festivals and high-level venues. I’m now offering private tuition to share the secrets of professional-level drumming, helping students bridge the gap between "practicing" and "performing."

Why study with me?
I don’t just teach theory from a book; I teach the practical, real-world skills you need to succeed on stage. Whether you want to master the energy of a live show, nail complex studio-quality technique, or simply develop the confidence to play with power and precision, I can show you how to do it. My goal is to help you achieve the same professional standard I’ve honed throughout my own career.

I teach with the mindset of a working musician. We focus on phrasing, dynamics, rhythmic "feel," and the professional habits that make a drummer stand out on stage and in the studio. I don't believe in "one size fits all." We assess your current skill level, define your personal goals, and create a structured roadmap to get you playing at a professional level.
