Established in 1960, the Tasmanian Music Teachers’ Association is the major association of instrumental and vocal teachers in Tasmania. Our members are highly qualified instrumental and vocal teachers throughout Hobart and surrounds, Launceston, Devonport, Burnie and other regions around Tasmania.
We have listings for specialist teachers who can provide tuition in a wide range of instruments, including piano, singing, violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, flute and other wind instruments, and music theory and composition.
To find a teacher using this site please email us via the email tab. You need to include the region you live in - North, South or North West - as emails are sent to a single email address and forwarded on to the relevant region. Alternatively, you can visit http://www.tmta.com.au/find-a-teacher/ or contact the TMTA via the contact details listed under Locations or individual Services (e.g. Piano Lessons).
The TMTA recommends a minimum fee for 2020 of $74 per hour for fully registered qualified teachers. Individual teachers may have higher rates.
