I am currently a fifth year instrumental music teacher. I have completed a three year degree at the Conservatorium of Music studying the Bachelor of Music, majoring in clarinet performance, composition and teaching.
I have performed with the Queensland Youth Orchestra for five years and my performance with the clarinet as it is a great passion of mine. As a person I am bright, cheerful, positive and always friendly and approachable.
More recently I have completed a Masters of Secondary Teaching and have just completed my second year of school teaching. I have taught multiple instrument across the school band including conducting whole school bands. I am able to teach all instruments across the Woodwind, Brass and Percussion sections as well as vocals, guitar and composition.
In addition I am able to convey new skills in a multitude of ways and will provide my students with the skills they need to progress.
In terms of private tutoring I have been tutoring students privately for approximately 7 years. I am able to teach different levels of playing from beginner to through to professional standards. I can not only aid in clarinet performance but also in music theory as well as other instruments that have been previously mentioned. Additionally I am able to provide assistance with music assignments from primary school work through to university music exams and AMEB. It is never one size fits all for learning, so I am very adaptable in my approaches in order to benefit the students I teach. Furthermore I am able to teach students within the comfort of their own home.
Overall I hope to share my passion for music with the students and allow them to progress in their musical interests. I hope to help you with your musical journey and develop your own musical styles that bring your creativity to life. I hope to hear from you soon
