Piano and Music Theory Lessons

Hi I'm Teena Vanburen,

I'm a piano teacher with more than 10 years experience teaching the piano overseas and in Australia. I currently teach at a private Music Academy South the river and I also offer private tuition at my home; all lessons are one to one and conducted weekly.

Skill Level: For students from Beginner to Advanced Level

Lesson fees :

$30 per half an hour lesson for a Child student

$35 per 30 mnts or $40 per 45 mnts lesson for an Adult student (Age 18 and above).

Free introductory lesson is offered.

A bit about myself :

I've been playing the piano for over 18 years and been a church organist overseas and in Australia. I have taught Music in two primary schools and one secondary school overseas and worked as a Music coordinator for two years.

I have completed various exams over different Music Examination Boards; AMEB, ABRSM and IMSD and I'm currently following my Bachelor of Arts majoring in Music at University of Western Australia. I have enjoyed teaching students of all ages. (My youngest student being 5 years and oldest student 87 years). It's such a priviledge being able to teach and see how they play songs and piano pieces enjoying. I beleive a combination of correct guidance from the teacher (myself) and effective practice from the student will help them become a skillful pianist.

Overall I beleive Music: Learning to a play a Musical instrument is for life. It's gonna ba a companion that will accompany you through every stage of life. It has been for me and it is my wish for you too.
