Piano, violin, viola, cello
Classical piano specialist.
Theory of Music and Musicianship.
Professional accompanist, professional teacher QMTA

I teach piano, violin and viola (beginner-advanced), and cello (beginner-Grade 4). Although I am a specialist classical pianist, I teach a variety of styles and welcome students from all backgrounds. My Philosophy of Teaching has a primary objective of fostering an enjoyment of music, while developing a solid technical basis for future progress. I believe that learning correct technique is an essential foundation for beautiful playing, and so this is an important focus in lessons. In order to build confidence in reading music and to allow students to develop a wide variety of skills and experience, regular sight-reading and a wide variety of repertoire will be encountered. I have prepared many students for success in AMEB and Trinity College exams.

I perform regularly, playing violin and orchestral piano with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra (http://brisbanesymphony.org.au/ ) and piano with Enharmonie Chamber Ensemble (http://enharmoniemusic.com/ ) and other groups at various times. I am a member of the Accompanists' Guild of Qld, and regularly accompany for AMEB exams.
