Bachelor of Music
Music is my greatest passion and it is my aim to share the fun, enjoyment and satisfaction of a music education with anyone who wants to learn. I have learned and studied music since I was 4 years of age and went on to pursue my interests at university.
I have graduated with a bachelor of music majoring in brass from QUT and have studied under renowned horn teacher Ysolt Clark. My other studies include music education in high school and music enrichment in early childhood.
I have taught instrumental music and conducted bands at 3 different schools, and also privately tutor students aged from 10 to 80 years old! It is my philosophy that it is never too late to start learning and reaping the many benefits of a music education. Music is for everyone – and learning for enjoyment is just as beneficial as those preparing for examinations (AMEB).
The process of learning music uses all the parts of your brain (social, emotional, cognitive, musical, physical and language) and therefore lays the best foundation for school and for life.
My lessons are fun and encouraging and will get beginners started off on the right foot. Whether you would like to pursue exams or simply learn for enjoyment I will be happy to help.
