Tim Hastings

I have been playing guitar for many years, played in bands and taught guitar in many forms. I enjoy helping people of all ages to get started. I remember back when I started learning guitar and the important practical things that really helped me. My approach is to get students to ultimately learn for themselves. I give dedicated lessons that are tailored to each student. I break lessons into chunks: techniques, performance and next steps. This provides students direction and sense of achievement rather than just learning chords and scales. I teach at our home in Surrey Hills Victoria and parents are welcome to stay. I have a range recording equipment for students interested in recording. I am more than happy to help students pick their first guitar and provide advice on guitars, amps and sound equipment.
