Timothy Frahn commenced study of the trumpet in 1996. Involvement in primary and secondary school ensembles, extensive music education and competitions led him to further studies in brass performance.
He has completed a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Performance (Trumpet) at the Elder Conservatorium, The University of Adelaide.
He now divides his time between teaching, performing casually with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Adelaide Wind Orchestra, and conducting various ensembles.
Tim specialises in trumpet students who are beginning, mature age, students who are completing AMEB examinations from Prepatory to Grade 8 and AMus, school solo performances and ensemble work, and general practice and development.
