Toby Barrett

Hello!

I'm Toby, and I'm excited to welcome new saxophone students to my teaching space in Coburg North. Lessons with me are for all ages, personalised and tailored for your desired learning outcomes.

About me:

Toby Barrett is a saxophonist and composer who is highly regarded in the New Zealand jazz scene. After receiving several national awards at a young age, Toby completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the University of Melbourne. Toby has been fortunate enough to perform with renowned international and national artists such as Melissa Aldana, Danilo Perez, Jonathan Crayford, Roger Manins, Kevin Field and more. Toby performs regularly throughout Melbourne and has recently recorded his debut album under the mentorship of Julien Wilson, Andrea Keller and Brett Williams.

Toby has an abundance of teaching experience through New Zealand schools such as Auckland Girls Grammar School, St. Peter's College, Marshall Laing Music School and Glen Eden Intermediate School. Additionally, Toby has taught a range of ages and skill levels through weekly private lessons and workshops.
