Trumpet Lessons

Learn trumpet from the award-winning trumpeter Tom Avgenicos.

I am a versatile, dynamic and passionate trumpet teacher and music educator. I am highly
qualified, having graduated with a Bachelor of Music Performance with first-class Honours
from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2018. I have performed with James Morrison, Justine Clarke, Julia Stone, Tasman Keith, Kwame and have performed on The Voice. My awards and achievements include the 2022 Freedman Jazz
Fellow, Margaret Henderson Scholarship and Global Mobility Scholarship (University of Sydney), the
Regional Touring Grant (SIMA) and Sonic Futures Artist (SIMA), and recognition as finalist at the
National Jazz Awards and Generations in Jazz competitions.

I am equally adept in teaching jazz, classical and popular music styles. My students have received music scholarships to some of the top schools in NSW. My students consistently achieve outstanding
results in AMEB Examinations, HSC music performance assessments and eisteddfods.

Located in Mayfield and Hamilton. Alternatively, I can come to you for an additional travel fee.
