Make music that responds to what you hear.
Learn to listen deeply to the sounds and ambient textures unfolding around you, honing your ability to identify and appreciate subtle and nuanced patterns that are present in the natural world.
Take part in improvisational games that encourage the exploration and capture of unpredictable sounds, familiarising yourself with new instruments and mediums and becoming comfortable with generating musical ideas on the fly.
Listen back these explorations, building a catalogue of recorded audio that can later be drawn from to arrange and produce complete tracks.
Lessons are catered to all levels of experience. A rotating cast of wind, string, synth and percussion instruments are provided, however students are also welcome to bring their own.
