Tom Combes

I have a great passion for learning music and Audio Production and have been helping others explore these fields for more than 17 years. My own musical journey has taken me around the world, even to the 2016 Guitar Masters competition in Poland for Acoustic fingerpicking. I still actively perform with my band PocketLove and Birdman Randy, as well as my solo acoustic instrumental music. These experiences have given me a wide range of knowledge in electric guitar styles and techniques, as well as the acoustic styles of virtuosos like Tommy Emmanuel and Andy McKee.

I hold a Bachelor of Popular Music from the Conservatorium and currently teach Audio Production, Music, and Guitar at a Bachelor level at JMC Academy. As part of my role, I also produce and mix music and love mentoring students of all ages.

I teach a variety of instruments, such as Acoustic Guitar finger-style, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin, and Lap Steel Slide Guitar. I also offer lessons in Audio Production using Logic, GarageBand and Pro Tools.

I also have extensive experience with teaching successfully online.
