Hi, my name is Toukie Wood and I teach Violin, Viola, Piano, Music Theory and Flute!
I've had 10+ years of teaching experience with all ages and levels, and absolutely love my job.
I hold a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the University of Queensland, and am a current performing member of Luminescence String Quartet and DeepBlue Orchestra.
Having performed professionally with many ensembles, my favourite gig to date is on the 'Elvis' movie set with the Las Vegas Orchestra.
I'm currently an upper strings teacher at Padua College, and teach upper/lower strings, music theory, flute and piano at Prince of Peace Lutheran College in North Brisbane.
My goal with teaching is to foster a love for the instrument, all while encouraging enthusiasm and creativity in the student.
Lessons occur at my home studio in Bray Park.
