Tristan Pofandt

My name is Tristan, I’m a first year Uni student with over a decade of trombone experience.
I completed AmusA on Trombone in 2021, as well as AMEB Grade 8 on Euphonium in 2020.

Study:
I studied classical trombone performance for two years at the Griffith Conservatorium of Music, before recently deciding to pursue a career in Cybersecurity.
Late 2024, I auditioned in London for the Royal College of Music, the Royal Academy of Music, as well as the Guildhall School of Music, and was offered scholarships for all three.

Experience:
I have had experience teaching Trombone through high school, and further developed my teaching skills through the University’s Pedagogy course.
I am passionate about passing my knowledge onto my students, whether new to the instrument or soon to pursue a career in music.

Having done many AMEB exams, I am very confident about the benefits of doing so and would be keen to guide students through them.

Travel + Other:
I am happy to travel up to 10 minutes to provide lessons which will add a $5 travel fee for each lesson.
There is plenty of visitor parking for my apartment block.
Lessons can be of any length, and on any day of the week.
I am more than happy if parents would like to sit in on the lessons.
