Music Theory, Ear Training and Composition - Musicianship and Aural Skills

I am a warm and friendly tutor with extensive training in both classical and contemporary music. Whether you're a beginner picking up your first theory book, or an experienced musician aiming to refine your aural and musicianship skills, I'm here to help!

I pride myself on translating difficult concepts into accessible and engaging lessons, that inspire my students’ understanding and passion for music. Our lessons will always be led by your music goals but will also ensure you have a solid foundation of musical understanding.

Your tailored lessons will include theoretical and practical exercises covering rhythm, meter, scales, intervals, harmony, key signatures, chord identification, chord progressions, sight singing, melodic and rhythmic dictation, reading sheet music and more. I believe a strong foundation in theory and musicianship is essential for any musician's development and underpins a well-rounded music education, which is why I focus lots on ear training and musicianship skills in practical contexts.

I am also an experienced songwriter, so I can help you with strengthening your improvisation skills, teach you the fundamentals of songwriting or, assist with giving you the tools you need to write the music you want.

So send me a message and let me know; what aspects of theory, musicianship and composition are you looking to learn? is it it theory? improving your ear? reading sheet music? composing your first song? together we'll build a solid foundation of musicianship, to support your musical aspirations and goals.

you can reach me me at tutoringwithtia@outlook.com or on my mobile - from there we can organise a lesson or I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. Look forward to hearing from you soon!
