Well done for hunting down Melbourne's oldest, and still the most progressive, ukulele school.
While we specialise in teaching children, our workshops and classes are a hoot for adults too. Think Hen's parties, family get-togethers, work brain breaks, team building - the list is almost endless.
Uke4Kids offers fun, engaging, low-pressure group lessons which develop creativity and resilience, as well as building skill and fostering a love of music.
Our program is generally school-based, with Saturday classes available also. School Holiday programs are offered from time to time as well.
Kids learn the fundamentals - and more - of music using one of the easiest and happiest sounding instruments. Kids are supported to use the knowledge and skills they are developing to create their own music and express their energy and personality.
Yanai Morris and Dassana are the people behind Uke4Kids. Yanai is a highly experienced and talented teacher, loved by his students and our parents. His aim is offering a music program he wishes he had access to as a young learner, desperate to learn and play the music he loves.
Dassana brings a world of knowledge and experience in working with people and children, and what kids need, to the program.
We specialise in using only the Ukulele as we believe it's the absolute best beginning instrument for children.
This innovative program is taught by experienced and progressive teachers who love what they do. Uke4Kids teachers have at a minimum a qualification in music, and are experienced teachers of children. They also bring their experience as performing musicians to their teaching, and their ukulele teaching is enriched with proficiency in a number of other instruments.
All Uke4Kids teachers and staff have WWCCs, with the wellbeing and safety of our young students our highest priority.
Currently teaching around the north and east of Melbourne, we are expanding into other areas.
