Artarmon studio lessons are open for 2024 and available to students in a delightful historic home set in private gardens. I have recently purchased a Kawai GX2 grand piano to accompany in style!

Singing is a wonderful form of self
expression and builds a sense of wellbeing , self esteem and health. Celebrate your unique voice and develop confidence and skills both technically and musically.

All ages and experience are welcome - from 8 to 80+- beginners, choristers, actors, singer songwriters through to professionals.

Online lessons are available for any students as an adjunct to studio work but live lessons are strongly encouraged.
I am happy to prepare singers for exams, auditions ,eisteddfods and competitions...but only if that is your goal:).
Coaching for professional singers is available.
I also offer work on sight singing musicianship and theory and mentoring for songwriters.
My students perform widely and I hold regular concerts for them to perform with each other and guest artists.

I believe everyone can sing well with positive guidance to achieve healthy vocal technique and release their full potential .
Sing the songs you love- I teach a wide range of styles including contemporary, classical, jazz, music theatre and opera. I have performed in many styles myself and have over 40 years experience as a music professional and teacher. I play piano to professional level and can make piano backings for you to rehearse and perform with at no extra cost.
I also have a large digital and paper library of sheet music.

The studio is a musical sanctuary with some extra magic. There is a grand piano with a view to a private garden.

Microphone techniques are offered as are lessons where the student plays piano and sings. Guidance is given in piano techniques to read chord charts and adjust accompaniments to suit your piano level.

Lessons are paid by the week or in advance with no obligation to pay in terms. I generally recommend weekly lessons of an hour , but this is negotiable according to your special needs and budget. Fortnightly and casual lessons by arrangement.

My fees are $120 per hour ,
$100 for 45 min.
I am not offering 30m lessons.
