Victor Dai is a concert pianist and teacher from Sydney, Australia. He graduated with First Class Honours in a Bachelor of Music, Piano Performance from the Royal College of Music, London. He was a C.Bechstein Scholar supported by the Mike Rimmer Scholarship, and studied with Professors Andrew Ball and Danny Driver. Prior to this, he undertook studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Clemens Leske, where he was recipient of the John and Dorothy Vimpani Pianoforte Scholarship.

Victor has over 9 years of dedicated teaching experience in the art of classical piano. He has taught all levels and ages, from beginners to diploma level and children to adult learners. Many of his students have achieved distinction results in their AMEB/ABRSM/Trinity grade exams. Every student has a different way of learning, his piano lessons are tailored to each individual. He hopes to inspire his students with his own passion as a performer and actively encourage them to love and explore the many possibilities there are making music (in all genres).

Victor began his piano studies at the age of six, and shortly after began performing live on radio station Fine Music 102.5FM (2MBSFM) in the Young Performers and Emerging Artists programs. He gave his first public recital at the age of twelve and since then, has performed across many venues in Australia and Europe. Victor has also been awarded top prizes in numerous competitions, including First Prize in the Sydney Eisteddfod Kawai Piano Award and Piano Concerto sections and Second Prize at the 2018 Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition. He also won Second Prize in the 2019 Kendall Taylor Beethoven Competition.

Victor has performed in venues such as Austrian Cultural Forum, St Mary Abbotts, Royal Overseas House (London, UK), Sydney Town Hall (Australia), Tignespace Auditorium (France), Schubert’s Birth House (Vienna, Austria), Organ Hall (L’viv, Ukraine), Concert Hall for Institute of Musicology (Budapest, Hungary), City Ceremonial Hall with live broadcast and recording by Radio Television of Serbia (Belgrade, Serbia).
