10 year old Regan discovered that he could get a day out of lunchtime detention each week by attending guitar & singing lessons.
That same year he was greatly influenced by bands such as Guns ‘n’ Roses, Metallica, U2, Nirvana and also musical influences from his native homeland of New Zealand such as Crowded House, Split Ends, Shihad and Noise Works. The guitar then took on a whole new life from the folk songs he was previously learning, igniting a passion for music that has been burning strong ever since.
At 16 Regan began to write and produce his own music and started to experiment with emulating his favourite Rock and Metal singers with his voice. Starting the band ‘Delve’ a year later, the group found themselves with 3 guitarists and no vocalist. Noticing recent vocal experiments a member of the band stated “Regan can sing” and with those words he was thrust in to the world of singing.
