Wendy Ju

Wendy is a professional cellist who teaches and performs around Melbourne. She has completed her Master degree at University of Melbourne, MC-MUSPT (Master of Music Performance Teaching), and is currently undergoing a PhD study with University of Adelaide, and was offered a full scholarship for her study. Wendy completed Grade 8 in cello exam from Trinity College with an excellent endorsement in age of 12, then studied Music Performance at Auckland University. In 2020, she moved to Melbourne to continue her study in Music Performance and University of Melbourne, and has completed her Bachelor of Music Performance with Honours in 2022.

Wendy has wide range of students currently, aged between 4 to 80. She has experience in working at a music school, public school and private lessons. She also has experience teaching individual and group, with students in different levels of skills. She offer AMEB Grade Exam preparation as well as casual learning. Wendy is a friendly and kind, and lovely person, and she gets along with anyone easily. She is passionate about what she is doing. She works extra for the student and wants them to enjoy playing the cello. She welcomes every young students as well as adult students who are passionate to learn

She also worked at Pettman National Junior Academy of Music (PNJA) as a helper to the teachers and administrators. She currently is working as an assistant teacher at the University of Melbourne for Melbourne Conservatorium Young Artist Academy, Cello teacher at Xavier College and St Catherine’s school.

Wendy uses to play in the Auckland Symphony Orchestra and University Orchestras. Recently she has been playing with Geelong Symphony Orchestra and Bendigo orchestra. Also, she has been playing in ensembles, and many solo works. Wendy has been performing around Melbourne as a soloist and duet named “LUCE Duet”.
