Wendy Zhang

I am a piano teacher, accompanist and performer based in Hornsby Heights. My parents introduced me to learning the piano when I was three and it was discovered I have perfect pitch. I studied under Professor Nicolai Evrov as a private student for many years and have 20 years of teaching experience. I am totally passionate about sound, piano performance and music education, and I provide piano lessons for all ages in my Hornsby Heights studio.

Having obtained a Licentiate Diploma (LMusA) from Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) in 2004, I teach all grades up to Associate Performance Diploma as well as music for leisure (jazz, pop & contemporary), and I help students prepare for Eisteddfods and competitions. My students achieved outstanding results (Honours average) in the 2022 and 2023 AMEB exams.

I work with other musicians on a regular basis, and I always encourage / create opportunities for my students to collaborate with other musicians, so that playing music can be a fun and interesting experience.
