Yasmin Devan

I am currently pursuing a Master of Teaching (Music Specialization) at the University of Melbourne, building on my background in composition, arranging, and classical piano. I hold a BA (Hons) in Music (Composition and Arranging) and a Diploma in Music (Classical Piano). With over a decade of experience in music education and performance, I have worked extensively in schools, nurturing students’ musical growth and fostering a deep appreciation for the art.

My teaching philosophy centers on creating engaging, student-focused learning experiences that inspire creativity and technical excellence. I have guided students in performance, composition, and ensemble work, helping them develop confidence and musical fluency. Beyond teaching, I am an active performer and arranger, continually refining my craft to bring real-world industry insights into my classroom.

Passionate about shaping the next generation of musicians, I am committed to providing an enriching and supportive learning environment. My goal is to bridge academic knowledge with practical musicianship, empowering students to reach their full potential in music and beyond.
