I offer high quality cello teaching and coaching to cellists of intermediate level and above.

My services include:

  • regular lessons
  • goal-oriented coaching
  • consultations and advice for cellists
  • masterclasses
  • performance opportunities

My experience has always encouraged students to elevate their own skills as cellists, think beyond what they are playing, and always what they can offer their audiences. I challenge each student to explore what they love about their music, and how they can create their own outlet for music beyond just practicing.

My skills and experiences are international, ranging from Europe, Asia and Australia I have 30 years of history in performance and teaching.

As a winner of the 2009 Royal Over-Seas League String Competition in London and the Grand Prize and Audience Prize winner of the 2014 Australian Cello Awards competition in Sydney (now the Young Performer’s Awards), I settled in Melbourne in 2017 and look forward to helping cellists of Australia take their skills to a higher level.

About Me:

I have appeared in concert at many world class venues and festivals including Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Bridgewater Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, City Recital Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, Hamer Hall, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Brighton Festival, Deal Festival, Adelaide International Cello Festival and Woodend Winter Arts Festival.

In March 2017 I was on a month-long tour to China, where I gave recitals and masterclasses with my pianist Yasmin in the Shanghai Concert Hall, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai University Music Conservatory and WuXi Grand Theatre. I appeared on national TV, radio and newspapers in various news/performance programmes raising awareness of autism in Chinese children and personal interviews.
