Yeou-Ling Wen is a registered music therapist, school teacher, classically trained musician in voice, piano and various other instruments.
Her teaching began with early music classes - Musik Garden, Gymboree, Kindermusik and focused on the music pedagogy of teaching ages of 0-5. Also trained and teach early intervention music courses which included the piano/keyboard and taught primarily ages 3-10.
In 2006 she began her music therapy training in Sydney, Australia at the Golden Stave Music Therapy Centre with the University of Western Sydney where she had experience in different settings and towards graduation she started working at a behavioural high school as well as taking on private clients in music therapy. She is also trained in Neurological Music Therapy (NMT) and Music and Relaxation as part of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM).
Her passion includes assisting children and teenagers with developmental difficulties through the use of music. She is a classroom music teacher with Orff (level 3), Kodaly, Dalcroze influences in primary and secondary schools.
Yeou-Ling is a coloratura soprano and has sung in the chorus and minor principal roles with Rockdale Opera, Opera Prometheus and Pacific Opera. She was also part of the Sydney Philharmonia Choir in the 2007 production of Messiah.
