Patient cello teacher with many years teaching experience, both as a private tutor and cello teacher in state/private schools. Students start from 5 years old onwards to working adults, retirees are welcome!
Able to teach AMEB and ABRSM syllabus. Students will be taught not only to play the cello (with a good sound!), but essential sight-reading and rhythmic skills. Useful tips on orchestral playing will be shared. The purpose of the learning is focused on enabling the student to learn to play a piece of music on their own with minimal instruction. Students taught range from beginners to advanced, playing for exam or leisure. Ad-hoc lessons are available for students who are preparing for exams, performances, or for students who just need some practical advice for improvement.
Piano accompaniment for exams can be provided for all instruments up to AMEB Grade 4.
