Yuhao Yan is an emerging pianist and music educator based in Melbourne. He is currently completing a research master’s degree in piano performance at the University of Melbourne under the guidance of Professor Ian Holtham. Yuhao regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician and has received numerous awards. He is twice the recipient of Ormond Exhibition in Music, Pearis Rodger Scholarship, Frederick Harlock Scholarship, and Grace Funston Scholarship.

As a piano teacher, Yuhao is dedicated to creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment tailored to meet the needs of each student. By exposing students to a diverse array of music and equipping them with essential skills and techniques for engaging in musicking, Yuhao aims to encourage a broad understanding and appreciation for music while emphasising individual expression and creativity. Ultimately, he seeks to help students develop a lifelong passion for music that extends beyond their lessons.

Yuhao is also an experienced piano accompanist with extensive experience in accompanying exams and auditions. Rehearsals with Yuhao will help strengthen students’ engagement with music and refine their musical collaboration skills, leading to increased confidence during performances.
