Yuhao Yan is an emerging pianist and music educator based in Melbourne. He holds a research master’s degree in piano performance from the University of Melbourne under the guidance of Professor Ian Holtham. Yuhao regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician, and has received almost all the awards that the Conservatorium has to offer. He is twice the recipient of Ormond Exhibition in Music, Pearis Rodger Scholarship, Frederick Harlock Scholarship, and Grace Funston Scholarship.

As a piano teacher, Yuhao is dedicated to creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment tailored to meet the learning needs of each student. By introducing students to a wide range of musical styles and equipping them with essential techniques for meaningful musicking, he encourages a deep
appreciation for sounds while nurturing individual expression and creativity. His goal is to inspire a lasting engagement with music that continues beyond the lesson room.

Yuhao is also an experienced piano accompanist with extensive involvement in accompanying exams and auditions. His collaborative approach in rehearsals helps students expand their musical understanding and develop stronger ensemble skills, ultimately leading to greater confidence and refinement in their
performances.
