I graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2019 and receive the master's degree major in Performance and Pedagogy. I started to learn music education when I was an undergraduate, and I have been accumulating teaching experience since I was a student. Violin is my main major, and I have systematically studied piano, accompaniment improvisation and vocal music, and have a solid foundation in solfeggio and music theory. When I was a postgraduate, I majored in performance and pedagogy and continued to study violin, so I have further research on the performance and teaching of this instrument. My graduation pedagogy research project is about vibrato, a difficult technique in violin performance and teaching. It has greatly inspired my teaching practice and is also helpful for my students to better understand and master this technique. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience through teaching practice in selected schools and colleges and performed minor and major recitals with pedagogy related content. I also played the violin with the Elder Symphony Orchestra and performed in many performances, such as the 'Donors Concert' held at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide in November 2018, etc.
I am also a council member of the Music Teachers Association of South Australia (MTASA), so in the process of continuous learning, I have a better understanding of the music education curriculum in South Australia. I offer one-on-one or group lessons for my students, organize concerts regularly and help students take the AMEB, ABRSM, Suzuki exams, etc. If you are interested in music, please feel free to contact me.
