Zachary MacLean

I have been playing trombone for 8 years, and am studying a Bachelor of Music (Contemporary) at the Australian Institute of Music in Melbourne.
I graduated Pimlico State High School, a leading school in North Queensland performing arts, in 2021. I was awarded Musician of the Year, a Karen Vane Award, the Instrumental Music Award for Brass, and a Subject Award for Music. I also lead the brass and trombone sections in numerous ensembles, including the school's Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Chamber Brass group, and was Band Leader and Trombone Section Leader in the school's Big Band.
